Brace Yourselves, Delhi University Is Ready To Conduct Entrance Exams By The End Of June

Delhi University is considered to be the most premier university of the country. The university will soon conduct its entrance exams for undergraduate, post-graduate, MPhil and PhD courses from June 30 to July 6.

This entrance exam schedule includes nine undergraduate courses, namely Bachelors of Management Studies, Bachelors of Business Administration, BA (H) – Business Economics (Finance Investment Analysis), BTech (Information Technology and Mathematics Innovation), BA (H) Humanities and Social Sciences, Bachelors of Elementary Education (BElEd), BSc in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports, BA (H) Multimedia and Mass Communication and Five Year Integrated Programme in Journalism.

Though the officials have also declared that while for nine out of eleven undergraduate courses, entrance exams will be conducted, for Music and Physical Education, the tests will be conducted internally by the varsity.

One major factor in the run this year is the fact that the National Testing Agency will be conducting the examinations.

Under the guiding set of NTA, the entrance examinations will be held in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi NCR (NCR includes Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad), Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Trivandrum and Varanasi for postgraduate courses.

The eligibility end of the undergraduates will be based on the student’s marks in the entrance test along with their Class 12 examination result.

The design of the test will be as follows:

  • There will be 100 questions.
  • Every correct answer will add four marks to the score.
  • Every incorrect answer will deduct one mark from the score.
  • Every unanswered question will fetch zero marks.
  • The examination will be two hours long.
  • It will be conducted in multiple choice question format.

The answers to the question paper will be uploaded within 24 hours and 48 hours will be given for any kind of grievance about the same. The exams will take place in three sessions per day and CCTV cameras will be placed at all centres.
