Why I Think That ‘Gen- Z’ Can Change The World (Part-1)

I was quite hesitant in the starting on the use of 'favourable' specially for a concept so wide and forever expanding contribution of Gen-Z , this might seem to be complicated for a few, some see it as a joke, some see it as a woke community and some see it as a community that manipulates people. Now I'm in no position to tell an individual what's right and what's wrong.

I'm quite sure that people are aware of the 'generational gap' which in simple words showcases the ideological difference between generations, this might apply for a few cases and may not for some, because ones perspective on so called 'ethics' will obviously differ on the society they were brought up in. It's wrong to generalize so, I will showcase a few incidents and thoughts that have been revolving around me .

Firstly, the concept of LGBTQIA+ is not something that just appeared out of nowhere nor it is a western ideology with a propaganda, rather it is a concept and practice that existed for decades. The only difference is that in the past it was a private practice, some by choice some just due to the societal value, now rather than keeping it as a sense of hiding or something that is so called 'not natural', a few of the many people of the community decided that it was time to actually become visible in the society and talk about it, not because they had a propaganda but rather a simple choice of being able to live normally than being captive by the societal usual practice.

Secondly, Gen- Z understands the concept of masculinity and femineity that is not restricted to one gender, where a man is expected to be masculine and a woman is expected to be feminine, now if you google search each of the terms, and read out the first sentence you would be able to prove me wrong, but as you keep on reading there come a term of 'understood as socially constructed' with further stating  'evidence that some behaviors considered masculine are influenced by both cultural factors and biological factors.' now with no doubt men are physically stronger than women, but the real questions comes on the factors of what we call masculinity and femineity. Masculinity factors are said to be courage, independence, leadership, and assertiveness and femineity gracefulness, gentleness, empathy, humility, and sensitivity. Where is the biological factor here? Are we missing something?? All these factors mentioned are societal values or a structure that are asserted by others. Can't women be leaders? can't men be empathetic?

Now, to make it simple, the idea of being free differ, for some being free is able to make their own decisions, for some its being able to be educated or being self independent and for some is being financially independent. I hope you get the similarity, in the same sense one's idea of living a different from the rest doesn't make them wrong.

The idea of a man being able to express themselves or having feminine features doesn't directly imply they are inferior , rather they believe that the societal structure doesn't have to restrict them, nor a female having masculine feature. The basic misunderstanding that Gen -Z  will corrupt the institution of marriage or the institution of society, what? I hope that the concept of the breadwinner is of the past.

Let's not bring the argument of 'ethics' here, previously slavery was legal, women did not have right to vote, was that ethically right? No right? The society evolves and that's the human nature, there are many other issues like Mental Health, Social Structure and Educational Institutions and the Wage Gaps and Violence that can be addressed. Like for some obvious reason most of the Gen-Z looks at communism as a better method to develop the society.
